We're stoked to announce our next event - BIG THUMPING BASS CANNON, landing at LVL ONE PARTY HOUSE upstairs at Gallipoli House in Hamilton.

For this one, we're putting a little extra focus on the roots. The underground UK sounds and culture that have shaped so much of the bass music we know, love and rinse today.

Expect a proper cross-spectrum session - UKG, 140, dubstep, jungle, drum & bass and plenty in between. Strictly quality, with a lineup of selectors who each have their own sound and their own way of doing things.

Taking inspiration from the DIY spirit of 90s rave culture - this one is a nod to where it came from, while celebrating where the sound has travelled since. Because underneath all the genres, BPMs and mutations, it's that genuine love of bass music and the culture around it that keeps the whole thing moving.

We'll also have Newy Bass Crew merch available on the night, so you can rep the crew and help support us doing more of this ridiculous bass-related nonsense.

Pretty bloody stoked to say Newy Bass Crew is heading back to Subsonic in November.

Subsonic has always meant a fair bit to us. For some of the crew, it was one of the places we first found some real solace within the Australian festival scene - a space that felt a little different. Underground music given room to breathe, creativity without too many rules, and a community of people who were there for more than just a big night out.

There's something pretty special about disappearing into that pocket of Worimi Country for a few days, surrounded by bush, river, art, strange sounds and good humans. It's a festival that has spent years carving out its own lane, and we've got a lot of love for that.

So being invited back to bring a bit of Newy Bass Crew business to the River Stage again is something we’re genuinely proud of.

Three days of underground music, riverside camping, art, movement, expression and connection.

Big love to the Subsonic crew for having us back.

Keen as fuck to get down by the river and rip in.
